Australia Zoo part 1

Our holiday to the coast also included a visit to 'Australia Zoo'.  There was so much to see and do at Australia Zoo. We really made the most of the day by arriving before the gates opened and we stayed until closing.  We also bought our tickets online prior to visiting which meant we didn't have to line up for too long. 

We were very fortunate as the Irwin family made numerous appearances throughout the day.  They were filming a new show for Channel 10 to be on air this Saturday.

I was only going to do one post of our day from the zoo however I ended up with so many photos.  So, instead of doing a photo montage, and since many of my lovely blog followers are from interstate and overseas, I thought you might like a close-up look (part 1) at some of the amazing animals on display from Australia and around the world.  Enjoy!

It’s becoming a bit of a tradition; this holiday by the river and near the sea.  We spend these quiet days with my beautiful girlfriends whom I have known since high school, their husbands and children; six adults and nine kids in total!  We stay at the same venue but in our own apartments.  We spend time together yet we also do our own thing; we meet up to talk, laugh, picnic, play, shop, swim and eat.  We share stories old and new.  This time together is so precious.

We are home.  My apologies for not posting for a week we were all packed in the car and half way to our holiday destination when it occurred to me I left my camera cord thingy to download photos at home! So this is just a quick post to let you know I plan to be back later on today to share with you some photos from our holiday away xo.
