creative chaos

Lately the urge to finish some sewing projects is on my mind.  I have resigned myself to the fact that if I am ever going to complete any creative projects then I am just going to have to work amongst the mess and the toddlers.  Yes, all that beautiful pencil work (scribble) was miss flutterby's attempt to help her mama. At least it wasn't the scissors!

At the moment I am attempting to make a beanie/hat for baby flutterbug.  I am using the pattern from 'making children's clothes' by Emma Hardy as a guide.  To save time and money I am just recycling a grey jersey tunic/dress that I no longer wear.

It only seemed like yesterday when I had to watch her every move on the playground as she navigated her way around.  These days she is becomming more daring and independent guided by her adventurous and uninhibited spirit.  How lucky am I to witness her learning to fly.

You could call it 'old age' but this chilly, windy weather makes my bones ache.
Motivated to get warm, I visited my local health food shop for some natural remedies including warming herbal teas and some nourishing creams for dry skin.  These are just some little things a busy mama of three can enjoy during these windy, wintery days. 

motherhood...some daze

Today's blog was going to be about looking forward to the new month, however, upon reflection...I find myself asking... where did June go? I came to this realisation yesterday when I discovered that the 'deodorant' I thought I was using (for who knows how many days/weeks) was not actually deodorant but something else (hhhhemm)! OMG!

One could consider this to be an easy mistake to make considering the bottles are almost the same in shape, size and colour.  Ooops!
