Just a few more rows...so far so good |
I spent some time yesterday reading the instructions from 'baby knits for beginners' by Debbie Bliss. The first project is a garter stitch scarf. So far I have cast on 22 stitches and knitted the first few rows. I am however using different size needles and different yarn so fingers crossed it still works out.

possibilities
After we waved good-bye to Daddy there was an excuse to test out the slope on the driveway. We also collected the mail, hugged the koala and picked up the local paper.
When we finished our swimming lessons there was a short trip to the post office to pick up a parcel. I am probably getting a little ambitious with two toddlers and a new born on the way but I am looking forward the challenge of making something sweet and cosy for this new little one. I am hoping to be more successful with knitting than I have been with learning to crochet. The graphics in these books are beautiful and the instructions seem relatively easy to follow but I do have a reputation for not being the best at following instructions so these little projects will be a challenge.

happy monday...
The one thing about blogging is that I have I am definitely having fun using my camera. It also gives me a reason to forget about work, stop and be present. To focus on a subject through the lens is to notice the little things that may normally pass me by...the sheer sense of delight on my children's faces when enjoying the simple things or how a gentle breeze makes delicate flowers dance right before me in my own backyard.
